hello mods! just a quick question about characters who might already be dealing with a little bit of transformation/corruption already.

if a character is being transformed by [insert canon reason here], would that progress be stopped/essentially replaced by natural soul transformation? and similarly, would they be able to keep what's already occurred to them in canon?

I kept this pretty broad so that others in a similar situation might be able to find the answer useful, but if you'd rather have specifics for my character in particular just let me know and I can elaborate! 👍

In a broad sense, yes, pre-existing corruptions/conditions from canon would continue to be in effect, and would occur concurrently with Natural Soul corruption (that's a lot of corruption...). Of course, if the home-corruption relies on some element from home to continue worsening, then it probably wouldn't progress here- but what's already happened would still be there. (Caveat: if there's some element from home that's keeping the corruption at bay, and would cause the character to become unplayable without it... then the Augmenters are doing a convenient job of 'stabilizing' the condition appropriately.)

So basically... double up on that corruption, if it's convenient! If it's not convenient, the prior corruption can be paused.
