Thank you, mods!

Would she still have the items in her inventory upon awakening? Or would the collar be mysteriously absent? (I can imagine patho-gen asking her for it post force-imprint and her just handing it over or similar)

Oh and with the force-imprint, will that prevent her from being critical of patho-gen and make her go "brainwashing was done with our best interests at heart" etc? Totally fine if that's the case. She fucked around and is finding out!

Will she have enough rationality about it to go "to protect them I should keep this from pom because he will go nuts" and does the fact that she has a pair-bond with pom affect the situation at all?

  • The collar will be mysteriously absent. Gotta protect that propriety tech!

  • Force-imprinting can manifest in a way that makes sense for your character. Oftentimes characters will act very normal, but the very moment they're around Patho-Gen, they may feel... well, the same way they feel around imprinted partners. Calmer, more pliant... Without the collar on, characters aren't as immediately obedient to Patho-Gen commands, per se, but they'll view the Big Corporation as a person worth caring about. Visiting harm upon this Imprinted Patho-Gen, then, will be a lot more difficult to stomach. Things like that. That said, being critical of Patho-Gen and arguing with their ways is fine; attacking them is what they hope to avoid, and they similarly would hope that Augmented Ones are imprinted to them enough that they'd defend them as well.

  • You're free to do what makes most sense for Northly! She can have internal conflicts about telling Pom or not, can try to defend the actions of Patho-Gen, or can be completely herself up until threats of violence are discussed towards Patho-Gen. The force-imprint is a little nudge towards not visiting harm upon Patho-Gen staff, as well as a fail-safe should they feel they need something to sway Augmented Ones to their side. (Her pair-bond with Pom will remain and not conflict with this force-imprint. The force-imprint doesn't override existing feelings, except for the part where it's uhhh forcing a feeling of fealty towards a big Science Corp.)
