Even if someone is not pair-bonded, would someone with a particularly strong Imprint with others (people they've gotten EXCEEDINGLY close to or someone they've been imprinted with since almost Day 1), would they be quicker to dread/agony/agitation over the loss? Especially when they are actually aware the loss has occurred? Particularly strong imprints would feel something akin to what pair bonds do- just at a comparatively lower level. As noted above, they would feel less than normal- an uncomfortable muffling of the connection that should be there. While they're not as sensitive to each other's emotions as pair bonds would be, they would feel this suffocation of their connection.

Even average-to-weak imprints could feel something- a pale void where there should have been the simple comfort of the other's existence. It's still attached to someone, but neither is permitted the reassurance of it.
