What's the accessibility like for blind characters in this world? None too shabby: there are plenty of Karterians who are blind, either completely or partially, and many efforts have been made to accommodate these citizens. Regarding tech, there are usually screen readers where needed. Sidewalks in Karteria have tactile paving. Rarely, citizens even have service animals, but it's not as common as a service... ServiTon, which is the preferred choice among Karterians, as they can be specialized to visually process things and relay them to their owner and built precisely the way they need them.

That is, of course, a luxury more commonly afforded to the upper and middle classes, as poorer people are less likely to have their own personal robot.

While lots of things have braille, there are the occasional things that don't. City-wide there are plenty of guides to get around (street names printed on the sides of buildings; tactile ridges and bumps if one has a cane), some private businesses overlook having accessible menus or print, for example. But Karterians care a lot about knowledge, and some specialty bookstores are more likely to be in possession of texts featuring braille or large print. But even their libraries have floors for special texts, and they care a lot about letting the people have what they need.
