hi mods! would a cephalopoda compulsory honesty hex work on Anh? thank you for working with us!! | Yes! Cephalopoda-type magicks will work. But Anh isn't the sort to hide much. They've really taken a beating to their morale after the loss of their parents those many years ago. The hex may not be necessary. If anything, they just don't seem to want to talk about much. They've grown shy and reclusive, and prefer to be left to their own devices. If asked about that memory, they will be visibly distressed. They don't like that this memory has been seen by anybody, and it might cause them to go mute a bit more. Some other Cephalopoda-type tricks might work... trying to hex a person into being compelled to answer, a derivative of a truth hex, could work temporarily. But all they know is that that way back then, Karteria had been trying to help Kelesis erect a barrier like Karteria's. Anh themself began to work for Patho-Gen around this time, while their parents were in retirement back home. Then... turns out that the whole project to share the technology of the barrier, didn't stick, and Karteria withdrew their team from Kelesis. Anh knows the technique for barrier creation was with Kelesis; they haven't ever figured out why Kelesis never actually got the barrier, but they suspect it was the general Kelesian way of living: they didn't take the warning seriously, didn't act quickly enough... didn't comply with whatever Karteria's demands were, despite the gravity of the situation. Whatever Kelesis is there is surely built upon the backs of those who died, Anh's parents included. They don't understand why Kelesis is reported to be thriving; the way their parents wrote it, it seemed doomed. They haven't written to Anh since; they're certain their parents are passed. |
