do the locator earrings (from the [https://alogos.dreamwidth.org/7832.html?thread=354712#cmt354712 treat rewards]) give a reading to the other half when separated?

They do give a reading, which means the other earring still exists, at least. But they're at a great enough distance that they wouldn't be able to be tracked down this way. Which seems to indicate that they're not anywhere near Patho-Gen HQ, or even within Karteria.<br><br>(Even if the paired earring was part of the characters' belongings that were confiscated, the confiscation (and the eventual reuniting) seems to have occurred also at this great distance.)
